with relatives due to her Mom and younger
sister dying in a Scarlet Fever epidemic in
Scotland. Her Dad came to the US to make
money to send for her. Great-grandpa
Alexander Taylor was a runner. I recently
inherited his watch chain and fobs. The fobs
were his trophies. One is a very detailed
gold Masonic fob and the other is a
multi-thistle gold one. On the back it says
"1st prize won by A. Taylor 1897. 2nd V.B
A.&.S.H Recruiter's Comptn. F.Coy" It was
said he died young and never saw my grandma
again.
